What is Wavepoint Health?
Wavepoint Health is a physician-directed, team-supported membership practice focused on preventive medicine, healthspan, and long-term health planning.
Healthspan refers to the years of life lived with strength, clarity, function, and independence.
Wavepoint uses clinical assessment, objective health and performance data, targeted diagnostic evaluation, and longitudinal follow-up to understand health more completely and guide a practical plan over time.
Does Wavepoint replace my primary care clinician?
No.
Wavepoint complements rather than replaces primary care, emergency care, hospital services, and established specialty relationships. Members should continue to maintain a primary care clinician for routine, acute, and urgent medical needs.
Wavepoint may help coordinate information and recommendations with other clinicians when appropriate.
Is Wavepoint part of Central Coast Neurology?
No. Wavepoint Health is a separate medical practice.
Dr. Price continues to lead Central Coast Neurology, but Wavepoint has a different purpose, structure, and scope of care.
Is Wavepoint an urgent-care or emergency service?
No.
Wavepoint is not intended for urgent symptoms, medical emergencies, or time-sensitive episodic care. Members should call 911 or use the appropriate emergency or urgent-care service when needed.
How much does membership cost?
Annual membership begins at $8,800.
Higher levels are available for individuals seeking broader assessment, more frequent follow-up, greater coordination, or more extensive physician involvement.
The appropriate level and its specific scope are reviewed before enrollment.
Is membership covered by insurance?
Wavepoint membership fees are paid directly and are not billed to insurance.
When medically appropriate, certain services obtained outside Wavepoint—such as laboratory testing, imaging, prescriptions, hospital care, or specialist consultations—may be eligible for insurance coverage. Coverage depends on the member’s insurance plan and the policies of the outside provider.
Wavepoint cannot guarantee reimbursement or coverage.
Are all tests included in the membership fee?
Not necessarily.
The scope of included assessment varies by membership level and individual clinical needs. Some laboratory studies, imaging, consultations, medications, and services provided by outside organizations may involve additional charges.
Potential costs are discussed whenever reasonably possible before higher-cost evaluation is pursued.
Does every member receive the same testing?
No.
Wavepoint does not use one fixed testing package for everyone. Testing is selected when it is likely to clarify risk, explain an important pattern, guide a decision, or provide a useful measure for future comparison.
More testing is not automatically better.
Is testing the principal value of membership?
No.
Testing may provide useful information, but the central value lies in selecting what is appropriate, interpreting findings within the whole clinical context, integrating them into a practical plan, coordinating care, and adjusting that plan over time.
Will every visit or conversation be directly with Dr. Price?
No.
Wavepoint is physician-directed and team-supported. Dr. Price oversees the clinical approach, interpretation, and planning process, while trained staff may assist with data collection, follow-up, implementation, coordination, and introductory conversations.
The degree of direct physician involvement varies by membership level and clinical need.
How does Wavepoint use technology and artificial intelligence?
Wavepoint uses longitudinal digital data and carefully selected analytic tools to organize information, monitor change, and help identify meaningful patterns.
These tools will increasingly include AI-assisted methods. They support rather than replace clinical judgment, and they do not independently diagnose or direct care.
Does Wavepoint offer age reversal or guarantee disease prevention?
No.
Human aging and disease risk are complex, and medical outcomes cannot be guaranteed. Wavepoint does not promise age reversal, immunity from disease, or a particular result.
The purpose is to improve understanding, identify meaningful risks and opportunities, and guide responsible action while remaining appropriately restrained about the limits of current science.
Who is Wavepoint best suited for?
Wavepoint may be appropriate for people who:
What is the first step?
The first step is a brief introductory conversation with a member of the Wavepoint team.
The conversation provides an opportunity to understand the practice, ask initial questions, and determine whether further discussion is appropriate.
