Every Wavepoint relationship begins with a careful understanding of the individual—their medical history, current health, function, priorities, and goals.

Establishing the clinical context and baseline from which meaningful decisions can be made

The starting point for Wavepoint care

A useful health plan begins with context.

The initial Wavepoint assessment includes a detailed review of medical history, family history, current medications and supplements, prior testing, existing medical relationships, daily habits, functional capacity, and the concerns or objectives most important to the member.

The purpose is not simply to document where health stands today. It is to understand how the different parts of a person’s health relate to one another and where further attention may be most useful.

A broad view of long-term risk

The assessment considers major threats to long-term health and independence, including:

  • cardiovascular disease;
  • cancer;
  • metabolic dysfunction;
  • neurodegenerative disease;
  • loss of strength, mobility, and physical reserve;
  • sleep and cognitive health;
  • and other risks identified through the individual history.

These domains are considered together rather than as isolated problems.

Clinical examination and baseline measures

The initial evaluation may include a focused physical and neurologic examination, blood pressure, height, weight, body composition, grip strength, and other measures of health and physical function.

Existing laboratory studies, imaging, wearable data, and medical records are reviewed when relevant. Additional testing is selected only when it is likely to clarify risk, explain a pattern, guide a decision, or provide a useful baseline for future comparison.

The scope is individualized

Not every member requires the same evaluation.

The breadth and depth of assessment vary according to clinical history, personal priorities, level of membership, and the amount of physician review and interpretation required. Some evaluations are performed directly through Wavepoint Health, while others are coordinated through independent laboratories, imaging centers, and specialty partners.

More testing is not automatically better. The goal is to obtain the information that is most likely to matter.

From assessment to direction

The comprehensive assessment establishes the foundation for the next stage of care: interpreting findings together, identifying priorities, and developing a practical plan that can be followed and adjusted over time.
