Begin with the whole clinical picture
Wavepoint care begins with a detailed review of medical history, current health, function, priorities, and existing care. The purpose is to establish a meaningful baseline and understand the individual in context—not simply to collect measurements.
Select what is useful
Laboratory studies, imaging, physiologic monitoring, cognitive and functional assessment, genetics, and other diagnostic tools may contribute useful information. They are selected when they are likely to clarify risk, explain a pattern, guide a decision, or provide a meaningful measure for future comparison.
Not every member requires the same evaluation, and more testing is not automatically better.
Interpret findings together
Individual results rarely tell the full story. Sleep, cognition, metabolism, cardiovascular health, body composition, movement, recovery, and daily behavior influence one another.
Wavepoint integrates relevant findings within the broader clinical context. The aim is to identify what matters, understand how the pieces relate, and distinguish meaningful signals from incidental information.
Translate information into a practical plan
The value of assessment lies in what follows.
Findings are translated into priorities and actions that are medically appropriate, realistic, and responsive to the member’s goals. The plan may include changes in sleep, nutrition, physical training, risk-factor management, medication, further diagnostic evaluation, or coordination with other clinicians.
Recommendations are introduced deliberately and refined as new information becomes available.
Follow progress and adjust over time
Health is dynamic. A useful plan must evolve with it.
Wavepoint uses follow-up visits, trained staff, longitudinal digital data, and carefully selected analytic tools to monitor progress and recognize patterns. These tools will increasingly include AI-assisted analysis, while clinical judgment remains central.
The objective is not a perfect set of numbers. It is a clearer understanding of health trajectory and a disciplined process for adjusting course over time.
Work alongside existing care
Wavepoint Health is separate from Central Coast Neurology and does not replace primary care, emergency care, or established specialty relationships.
When appropriate, Wavepoint helps members understand recommendations, prepare for consultations, and coordinate information across the broader medical system.
The first step
An introductory conversation allows the Wavepoint team and prospective member to discuss the practice, answer initial questions, and determine whether the model is appropriate for the individual’s goals and circumstances.
